Ba @ Lgw

Every day BA seems to be cancelling short haul flights at LGW. The scale of cancellationa is so large that it can only be caused by severe technical problems, shortage of at least 2 aircraft or quite deliberately for commercial reasons ( that is bad loads). Whatever the cause hundreds of people every day must be getting fed up with it all. That cannot be doing BA's image any good. can anyone shed some light on why this is happening?

I am happy with the snow arguement but how come all BA flights to AMS from LGW were cancelled a couple of weeks ago whilst EJ was flying from LGW OK. Also BA was flying from LHR OK.
