another fine mess

In the wake of the coke smuggling to Madrid scandal the Argentine government has decided to stop subsidising Southern Winds. SW was receiving the money to operate routes for LAFSA (which has no aircraft!) the state-owned airline which was created to employ the workers from the failed airlines LAPA and DINAR.

SW says it can do without the subsidy (which was only paying for a third of it's fuel and 400 of its emplyees) and that there's nothing to worry about.

Meanwhile the govt. is going to try to privatise LAFSA,

Confused? Me too.
