Travel City and Air Atlanta
Does anyone know if AAE got the contract for Travel City, as i heard rumours the end of last year, that there we going to go back to using European. I belive this was down to the fact that TCY were not happy with the performance of AAE and overall service provided.
Thanks

It wouldn't surprise me , I flew on Air Atlanta last year to Florida
and the year before with EEAC.
Air Atlanta were not a patch on the superb EAAC service. I've never travelled on a more ram shackle operation than that.
If Travel City have any sense they will get EAAC back quick !
Hopefully with some more modern 747's as the classics are
showing their age !

I totally agree there should be more modern aircraft.
European have B747-200s - a bit dated now don't you think but I have just seen Air Atlanta now have 300s -anybody else seen that I wonder?

Air Atlanta do have a few of the 300 verision of the 747.
Talking to one of the ground engineers a while back now they are looking into investing in some newer material like 747-400 and 777's.
Correct me if I am wrong but I also beleve they already have at least one 747-400 which is currently on lease to Iberia ?

Air Atlanta will continue providing services for Travel City Direct.
A 747-300 will operate from LGW, and from MAN - both aircraft will seat 520 passengers, and have 4 cabins available :
Sunshine First
Sunshine Premium
Sunshine Upperdeck
Sunshine Economy
Both aircraft will also have full TCY coulours applied.
