Just keep your eyes open for a cloud of black smoke trailing at your nearest bmi base and then you'll know its a Fokker 100 taking off! lol!!!
Yes, bmi are still operating 3 F100s, cabin crew are still told to offer earplugs to the passengers on the last few rows for take off too!
I think they are still in the fleet because rumour has it they are owned, not leased. They still get from A to B bless them!

Indeed, they are still used from LBA on the regular LHR run whilst another example shares its time on the flights to CDG and EDI.
As far as I know, the F100's are due to leave in April/May 2005. A319/320's will take over LHR whilst it is rumoured that an A319 may take over some of the EDI/CDG timings from LBA due to BMIR lacking an aircraft with suitable capacity. The alternative would be to increase freqeuencies.

I flew on a BMI F100 LHR-LBA recently - I was a few rows from the back and the noise was excrutiating - even in cruise.
I don't remember anything so bad on DC-9s and 727s.
Nice to lack at - poor to ride.

Think you'll find as of next week there'll only be one Fokker left doing the LBA - LHR. All regional routes ex LBA will be operated by 4 based erj's and the carribean ATR of course for LCY.
