CBFO - I believe BMIR got a 135 intended for Jetmagic but not delivered. The most recent info I have is that Eastern got the exJM 135.

Any news on VLM aquiring a jet, thought they were looking at the ex Air Littoral Fokker 70s?
Just as a thought, would the Bombardier CRJ100/200 series aircraft be able to operate into LCY without any weight restrictions etc..?

FC, thanks for that update.
CRJ200 are quite heavy on runway length.
EGLC 28/10 1319 x 30m (4300 ft or so) but CRJ requires 5000-6000ft.
(edited to correct stupid metric/imperial screwup)

The issue with operating into LCY is steep approach capability given the number of obstacles in the area and then the landing distance available which is a function of threshold speed, lift spoliers/dumpers and braking action. CRJ is not capable of operating into LCY.

The water area around LCY can't be filled in as it's part of the Thames flood defence system. As it is parts over the apron (if I remember correctly it's about gates 1 to 3 or 4) aren't actually on solid ground but on concrete piles. There's 'water breathing holes' on the apron - next time you're on the apron around gates 1 to 3 or look out for the holes that are about 5cm in diameter.
