Window seat tourists
Just thinking about how lazy a tourist you could be just viewing the world from a window seat.
Had a very good view of SW US scenery on a LAS to ATL sector on Thursday, even if the Grand Canyon itself was covered in cloud. Presumably on a summer day, and perhaps flying LAS to DFW you would get an even better view? Not saying that either of these is a substitute for going there in person though.
The view of Vegas itself from the window is pretty good too, (especially if taking off from 25R / landing on 7R), or taking off from 1L might be even better, but the 4 sectors I had all used the Southern runways. Does anyone know the "odds" of each combination?
Even if the weather isn't too good at this time of year, I would rate LAS as the best airport I've been to for seeing attractions from the window either from the airfield itself, or from approach / the first few minutes of climb out. LCY (Canary Wharf / Dome) would be pretty good too, as would EDI for viewing the Forth Bridge.
Thinking about viewing specific tourist attractions (e.g. Luxor from LAS is perhaps most impressive), from close by (within 2-3km of the runways) rather than general city / landscape vistas, which you can get on most flights, where else does the window seat tourist get outstanding views?

It's great when the wind and visibility works to your advantage. A few I would like to do:
Left side window seat, 34L for Sydney
(Have done this - great view of the harbour, Opera House and bridge)
Left side window seat, 25L for Hong Kong
(Should be a great view of the city skyline)

Last time I was in FRA (at the top of the viewing tower), they were taking off towards the city, so you'd want to be on the left.
Akerosid, are you referring to the airport observed from the top of Sugarloaf mountain (as seen in Moonraker)? AFAIK, that's Santos Dumont (SDU), so you'd need to be on a domestic flight - most flights from the UK go to Sao Paulo first, so a t'fer shouldn't be too difficult?
flyerz111, any seat in the cockpit would do, but I don't see that happening for us lowly passengers any time soon, unless you know any (legitimate) ways?
