LUX closed by wild boar

LUX was closed today (15 Nov) between 11:55z and 13:30z while hunters tried to persuade a bunch of wild boars to vacate the airfield. They were unsuccessful and as a result, there then were some casualties (4 or 5 dead swine, depending on whom you ask).

Several flights cancelled or diverted to BRU, SCN and ETZ, including the one carrying the Portugese national team who play Luxembourg on Wednesday in a 2006 World Cup qualifyer

Beware those terrines de sanglier at the airport restaurant over the coming weeks
