Virgin USA? Question
This may be in the wrong catagory, please move it to where it's appropriate...
I'm curious if anyone knows about or can point me to a link to information about this ventury by Branson to bring Virgin stateside as an airline. Has he worked out a deal to own less than 50% of the soon to be US airline? or has he lobbied enough to get some legislation changed?
Is Virgin Atlantic a good airline in the first place? NOT from a passenger perspective... I start applying for jobs early in 2005
Thnx for any info!

www.virginamerica.com is the new website for the company and has some information on who they are, what they plan to do, recruitment at the company, and media information.
They are to be 25% owned by the Virgin Group I think.

Yes, the 25% is becuase of a US govt legal requirement for airlines to be 75% owned by US citizens.
Really annoying website with that departures board feature taking ages to wait for, and then the registration doesn't seem to accept any zip codes. Have they thought that people from outside the US, especially us Brits might actually be interested in the latest Virgin enterprise?
Even tried entering CA 94128, the zipcode for SFO airport, and they still didn't like it!
PS - tried again without the CA, and it went through, but surely the code is useless without the state? If you posted a letter to 58DU, I really don't fancy the chances of it getting there!
