Air Berlin (w/ a little help from NIKI) orders 320s - big time

Air Berlin and NIKI have signed an agreement with Airbus to buy 70 A320s (60 to go to AB, 10 to NIKI), and have signed options to buy 40 more. Aircraft will be delivered starting Sep 2005.
AB, "a major LoCo carrier..." Looks like they mean it.

Airbus press release:

Current AB fleet is 42 737s (mostly -800s) and 3 F100s... BTW the -800s are configured for 184 pax, while the 320s will have 174 seats.
