Gatwick - any Industrial Action on Wednesday 6th October?
Colleague at work has asked if there is any industrial action due on the above date (possibly baggage handlers) - she has a friend who is travelling and has heard a rumour.
You know how it goes.....
Any info appreciated.

As far as I know, 6 hour strikes have been called by Servisair baggage handlers on Wednesday 6th and Saturday 9th which co-incides with my Flybe flights to Jersey (how's that for timing?). It will only affect airlines handled by Servisair but most airlines seem to have made contingency plans to avoid holdups.

12 hour strike planned....0800-2000L
The last 2 24 hour strikes have caused minimal disruption and most (if not all) airlines have operated a full schedule due to support staff and contingency plans. As far as your pal on FlyBe is concerned I would guess he won't even notice, as the narrow bodied (bulk-loaded) aircraft/airlines have been able to manage very well.
