My Travel Lite Pulling the plug....

Just last year MyTravel Lite announced that they would operate BHX-DUB-BHX twice a day in addition to their BHX-NOC-BHX. All the sceptics laughed out quite loudly at the prospect of a LCC coming into the preverbial "Lions Den" and gave them a few weeks MAX... My Travel Lite started there service with an A320 180Y and had relatively "low" loads for a period and then fortune started to strike and their popularity began to grow and the advertising really took off and they started to not fill but carry a decent load out of DUB and BHX every day... Mr O Leary's schedule has been slightly reduced since their operations began and Shamrock were slowing the route down anyway and My Travel Lite's loads grew again... Now they are pulling the plug ? Why? It is a feesible route for them... I know for a fact that they are pulling in good money from it...

Shame.... but has O'Leary driven another LCC out like "Go" ?? GO BA GO !!

Do you know how to use full stops?!

I always thought that the My Travel Lite image seemed a bit charter-like rather than scheduled airline. Or is it just me?

Don't know why they're pulling the route off. Do Flybe not do this route from BHX too? If so lots of competition but maybe they don't have many advance bookings for the winter season??

Who knows.

No, Lite, Ryanair and Aer Lingus was clearly too much competition. Another "business" destination to add to the Lite graveyard (recently deceased BFS was added to AMS, GVA & BVA earlier in the year).

This leaves Knock as the only non-med destination Lite are serving. With baby adding this from Janaury, how long are Lite going to stay on this one?

Some pub owners have said demand for DUB has dropped off since they introduced the smoking ban. A lot of pax on the route were lads / lasses going for stag / hen weekends. Since they can't have a fag and a pint they are looking elsewhere for their drunken weekends.
