Aer Lingus workforce to be cut back 25%!!

Just heard Aer Lingus is preparing a massive downsizing campaign with almost 25% of the workforce to go! Any ideas on how many flight deck are in danger? I thought Aer Lingus was looking to expand its long haul operations?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news. Good luck to all!

The redundancies are to be voluntary (as much as possible) and are to be sought in the Catering, Cleaning and Baggage Handling areas.
No aircrew under threat thanks to a recent labour court stay of execution.

Still on the road to being a 'virtual - low cost carrier'.
