LGW Comet

Can anyone confirm that the Comet at LGW has been scrapped and is now lying in a heap of rubble there. I couldn't see it taxying in yesterday. Are the Trident and Herald next, hope not.

As I understand it, all are being scrapped yes.

A member of the Trident Preservation Society is attempting to retain the flight deck of that aircraft for conversion to a flight simulator. Future location unknown.
