Aer Lingus DUB-TLS
Hello,
I was just wondering if there is anyone in the know out there who could tell me how is the EI Dublin-Toulouse route doing. Are they getting good load factors?
According to the Toulouse Blagnac Airport web site : www.toulouse.aeroport.fr as of June 2nd two of the 4 flight per week will be operated by A320's instead of the 4 x week 737-500's so far?
Just interested in knowing how the route is doing.
Thanks.

move from 735 to A320 probably due Aer Lingus migration from Boeing to Airbus fleetwide.
still think they need a couple of 318s or 319s for some of these routes but Willie seems to like the "pile em high sell em cheap" route...

There is a new A320 arriving every month. The first one, EI-DEA, was delivered last week.
All the new ones arriving have 174 seats, compared to 155 on the present aircraft. I agree with MarkD that some A319`s would be much better suited to the lower density flights.

How many economy seats can be put on an A318? Just curious. Notice how AC are due to begin YYZ-BOG with A319s. Convinced that the heavyweight version of the A319 would do nicely on some US east coast routes ex Shannon in winter, eg Boston.

I'd like to see YYZ and YUL myself. St. John's would also be a runner I think - the local accent of those from "The Rock" is Waterford mucksavage...
Maybe a 319 to the Rock and Halifax/Montreal ex SNN and a 330 to YYZ ex DUB - stopover busting here we come
As for 318s, would only do if no cargo required. The problem with buses on the TA might be the 2x32 cargo customary on those routes.
318 can fit 117Y at 32in or 8F 38in/99Y 32in (airbus.com)
107pax + bags = 2850nm at 66t MTOW
319 can fit 124 or 134 all Y (dunno if this is with 320 centre - doesn't EJ squeeze 149 or so?)
Disadvantages would be speed (M0.82max) into a bracing headwind en route Canada.
