Question The Big Chess Game

As an outward observer to the carriers involved, it is interesting to see the big chess game going with bmi and Virgin.

Virgin has stated its intent to move Virgin Epress out of it fold, with the right to have the Virgin brandname back in 2 years

bmibaby has just been awarded its own Operating Licence and is now bmibaby Ltd. So bmi is well positioned to move the baby which ever way it likes, maybe even out of the pram.

baby is linking up, for marketing purposes at least with germanwings and Air Wales.

Ryanair have moved into baby's birthplace - announcing at a press conference that they see themselves expanding to 2 million pax within 4-5 years. easy have gone public by saying they are not threatened by the competition, in fact they had a big "2 years at EMA" party in the Terminal last week and stated in a press release that they are looking forward to continued growth at EMA.

How will baby cope with the squeeze?

Could Ryanair do a "Buzz" on baby?

Will bmi become British Virgin Airlines within 3years?
