Question Aer Arann CFN-PIK

Have heard that Aer Arann have today announced that they will start a thrice weekly service from CFN to PIK commencing 3rd May. They have also announced Waterford and Kerry to Manchester as well. No info on PIK website or Aer Arann site. Can anybody else confirm this?

Gill operated the route as a summer only route and gave it up as they were going out of business

It was about 5 or 6 years ago that Gill attempted to operate the route. They started it in August with little advance notice and had virtually no publicity. The flight operated only once weekly on a Saturday and ran for only a few weeks. I seem to remember fares were high and certainly well above what Aer Arann are proposing. Aer Arann is well established and I would think have a good chance of making a success of the route.
