Air Malta at Manchester

Just noticed that Air Malta seem to have based two A320's at Manchester and seem to be doing holiday charters to the Canaries with them.

Is this a short term wet lease to fill in for another airline? or are we seeing the thin end of the wedge where the 'new' EEC members arrive in the UK to undercut the home airlines on seat costs.

No offence to AM, business is business, but I just wondered what the score was.

They are taking over Azzurra's routes whilst they sort what 2 do with Azzurra. Personally I think we have seen the last of Azzurra.
