Emirates Birmingham Changes

Emirates second daily BHX 330 to Dubai due to commence on 10 March has been withdrawn from the schedules.

The existing daily service, EK39/40, will be upgraded to a 772 from 28 March. In addition a 330 will operate additional flights during peak periods.

Not quite sure of reason for changes; either impact of second daily MAN service, shortage of 330's, or additional flights at LHR have been suggested.

Regards
Larry Walker

Interesting! I though the reason for PIA transfering their PK transit services from BHX to MAN was because BHX had some sort of probs handling 777's ......................

What sort of problems?

B772's have been into BHX on many occasions now, never been a problem as far as I'm aware.

No problem - unless you consider revenue consequences of having to depart below MTOW due rwy constraints

BHX would have no problem operating 777 at max payload. Just built a BHX-NYC flight and it was Landing limited but could still load a max payload.

Confirm Must Ride

Try again - try OAT at +30 deg c, still wind and look at the obstacle clearance limitations and don't forget some diversion fuel.

Ok agree some penalty for those situations, but you still should be good for max pax and 50-60& frt. Still enough for a good return on your dollar
