My Travel Lite BHX-BFS

Hello
Is it true that the My Travel Lite BHX-BFS route is to be cut to 1 per day for the summer, and does anyone know wy this is so? Is it because buisness travellers are not using te service to expectations?

Yes this is correct - from 01 May down to one rotation per day exc Wed where there is no service - as for reason, presumably partly due to ongoing situation at MYT but mainly because this route has never been well supported - poor timings initially and up against Flybe from BHD who always had when Maersk operated the route and continue to have lions share of Belfast/Birmingham.

Expect service from BFS to cease completely at the end of the summer timetable.

The loads on this route have not been too good with usually no more than fifty to seventy pax to each A320. This week has seen that figure rise to just over 100 on some days due to the trade shows in Birmingham but I`sure my good mate Glynn will be able to give us a better breakdown of the load factors.

So are they going to drop the BHX - DUB route as well?

Talk about low pax loads, the DUB route makes the BFS route look very healthy! One again FR are flying the route cheaper, on time and full.

Hi tower, how are you.I thought the VZ loads to BFS were a lot better than you said on your post and I dont really know as I have never looked at the caa figures for Bfs/Bhd-Bhx but I will ask RHONDA.As for Flybe to Bhx,well its their jewel in the crown from Bhd and their only profitable route from Belfast now.I spoke to a guy from their revenue management last saturday and he told me they are losing 17000 quid a week on the Bhd Lgw route and losing on Brs and Lba.

Just got an update from Rhonda and according to CAA figures EZY have an 80 percent share of the Bfs/Bhd market to Ncl so how long can BE pretend to be a LCC, not for long I think they are screwed. Also Lba and Brs down to three per day shortly from four.
