Was there last week & the Station Manager (or Airport Exec, or whatever his title is) had just received an e-mail confirming it's dropping to 3 days per week (dep Sun, Mon & Thurs) from 12th January until the end of February. This is with the exception of half-term which will have 5 flights during the week.

That said, we've not (to the best of my knowledge) received a memo from the company confirming this.

Could this be to allow some maintenance which is done in Zurich on both aircraft at a slack time of year?

Very possibly, although I don't think the booked loads are all that special either.
