Garuda Indonesia move to Heathrow in new code share

As was expected the Indonesian flag carrier have also quit Gatwick and are flying code share on Malaysia Airlines aircraft to LHR. Alot of people used to argue that this would never happen as GA were catering to a specific type of traveller who went through LGW only, they were wrong.

Gatwick does not have any east Asian airlines serving them now, SriLankan Airlines, Royal Nepal, Air Maldives, Thai Airways, Cathay Pacific, ANA, Korean Air, Philippine Airlines and EVA Air as well as Garuda had all launched their UK operations from LGW.

Emirates and Azerbaijan Airlines are the only Asian's left there.
