Grrr Air Freedom coming to Luton!

http://www.airfreedom.it

Will fly from Olbia, via Cagliari to Luton with a B737-400.

Other destinations from its Italian base inc Paris, Madrid, Munich and Vienna.

I understand that every seat on every flight will be at a fixed fare, just Like Now are planning.

Grrr

No announcement from Luton yet, the info actually came from Italy!

Mind you the world knew that Volareweb had decided to move north, but it took ages for an official news update on Luton's web site.

The buttons work, but they don't activate anything like "english version", you click that but nothing happens...And I noticed they are copying the Now Airlines aidea of one price for all seats...

Smile air freedom - new born

The first news about Air Freedom was a press release on local Italian newspapers on the 15th of Sept. The base should be Olbia but no office or telephone in place yet.
In the press release they say they are going to start operations in October using Futura 737 and also a Ba 146 for a flight operated twice a day between Alghero and Cagliari. A lot of big and nice plans. I wonder...
A friend of mine flying for Meridiana, based in Olbia did not even know of this new airline.
I agree the web site is very poor even if it is under construction.
Good luck to this new airline!

Yes you are right Volare means "to fly"

Hi,

The website is poor, and the "English Version" of the website doesn't work .

Apparently the airline has dropped its request for winter season slots.
But this news comes on the same day as the website is improved. (although it still doesn't say much).

With Volare starting a 3 x weekly Cagliari-Luton service on 4 December, supposedly increasing to 6 x weekly for next summer, it is difficult to see how the route could support two operators.

According to the Air Freedom web site it gives a destination as London Luton and further information available about Luton from www.baa.com !

The guys at that airline sure know their stuff!
