How to get a Job in Nigeria with Low Hrs

Hello guyz, am a fresh CPL holder, actually gotten in May. I am back in Lagos and have completed all the necessary convertions and need a job ASAP.

I would appreciate any advice or help in getting somewia to fly.

I don't have any type rating and currently can't afford it.

Thanks

First learn how to spell then we talk about your CV. Then we in bidness. Capiche :}

Evanelpus 31st Oct 2012 21:28

You asked for that Ozotz. ;)

ozotz 1st Nov 2012 21:28

Thanks Northbeach, I would take to your advice even though I have tried with the major airlines. I would now do more research and find out all the aviation companies both commercial and private and use the technique given.

I would update you on progress.

Thanks once again

To nch334, Evanelpus, chulmleigh:

If you lot don't have any positive contribution or assistance for the young chap seeking guidance from people he looks up to, then please shut your big fat traps by using super glue to keep your wandering fingers stuck in your mouth!:ugh::=:oh:

To Northbeach:

Many thanks for being an inspiration to ozotz, more peope like you are needed on this forum because this industry will continue to witness significant growth over the coming years and many young entrants like ozotz will need guidance; so, please don't be discouraged by the nitwits who think this is a spelling forum. Keep helping out!:D

To ozotz:

If i were to send you any information, Northbeach has really said most of it except that you will need a large dose of the 'patience' drug considering your experience level. Also, neither you nor others in your position should feel scared of the nitwits on this forum or anywhere else who try to put people off getting settled.

With Nigeria, someone contacted me last week, luckily for him, he has the classic and NG types on the 737 but still can't get a job, he's in touch with the 2 main operators still alive. So, i suggest you do likewise and pray that when the time comes, you will get your shot.

Due to the collapse of Air Nigeria, there are lots of experienced hands out there primed to fill any holes for the existing operators, this can make it difficult for people like you but please don't despair.

I hear there are some private startups coming up and the government is also looking to startup another airline from the information that's widely out there, so try to keep yourself busy anyhow, remain positive and listen out for what's happening locally.

Happy Landings

Northbeach

You are absolutely right in your post.
The way you think, talk and act gives you the right to be a reliable aviator
and most important to be still in aviation.
Take care.

Cheers

Don't go

Hello Northbeach,

Please, don't make that your last post, you will simply let the 'nitwits' win. Imagine terrorists winning when they have their demands mets.

Who knows, you might have extra words of wisdom or stories to share with the young ones. There's a guy on this forum (Chuks), he's always got a story of his time in Africa, so please post as much as you like. We all learn new things everyday and am sure you have lots to share.

:ok: to Northbeach

The point nch334 was trying to make is valid. It won't matter if you have thousands of hours, if you send an application using the type of spelling and grammar that was used in the Op's post, you won't get a job at all.......or maybe you will in Nigeria.

fat trap suitable shut now:ok:

I.R.PIRATE 5th Nov 2012 11:30

Don't you mean, 'suitably' shut?

Nah, written in OP original post speak, hence the thumbs up. Maybe I was being too clever for my own good.:ugh:

I'm just raggin ya anyway - I agree about the mind-numbing quality of the written word these days.

One bounce to the trash-can for a resume full of lazy errors.

Sorry to kind of interrupt this thread but has anyone here any knowledge of Gabosa Engineering based in Lagos?

I have recently applied for a position with them on the C208 and am trying to find out as much as I can about them.

any help would be appreciated, there isn't much I can find online apart from the company website.

Given that this is probably a scam (not my deduction, a previous posters comment) I would worry about what information you have provided to them. Didn't give them your bank details by any chance?:ugh:
