CPL License, "types"
Hi,
Finally got my South african ICAO CPL+IR license. When I look on page 5 under types is says: "Single piston engine aeroplanes having a maximum certificated mass of 2700kg or less as endorsed in pilots loggbook" Now, shouldn't those 2700kg be 5700kg ?? /Sonny |
What did you do your comm on?
|
I did my com on a C72R (Cessna 172RG)

should be
should 5700kg. should also be logbook, not loggbook

Group ratings in SA
I believe youll find you have a SE group rating restriction to 2700kgs under the SA ANR's no change yet according to there website.

redskyventures: ok, thank you very much! :)

haha..ok. Well but what if you do a Cessna Grand Caravan rating or something like that, will it go to 5700kg than as well? Because I'm pretty sure the caravan weights more than 2700kg, and one should be able to fly that one on the CPL =)

Yes it is but a van is a turbine, therefore it will be endorsed into your license on page 5.
|
There are a number of single piston aircraft over 2700kg such as the single Otter and Air Tractor 301 that you should be able to fly immediately, without doing a twin or turbine rating. Somethings amiss:confused:
