Self sponsored type ratings paradox
So people, what do you think about all these advertising on the Pprune forums regarding self-sponsored type ratings and all the bull that comes with that.Isn`t a little bit ironic that here we are on this forums trying to help each other with usefull info and while we are doing this here comes a flyer to pay for a type rating.
I know all about the money aspects of a site like this and bla bla bla...I guess soon we will be buying our own planes just for the privilege of flying them

Well lost comm, are people that pay for their ratings any less qualified at the end? answer......no.
It all depends on where they obtain them and what type of route experience that they get.
A typical example is one where someone can become type rated and never operate that type....experiece = zero
Experience comes with operating a type, not where you you obtained it, as some would have you to believe!
