Dornier 228/UN contract/ DRC(Congo)

Hi guys and girls, this is my first post so go easy on me. My only experience in Africa was 9 months with Bristow Heli on their Shell Dornier 328 Jet operation in Lagos. Had to give it up for family reasons. I'm in maintenance by the way, Maintenance Engineer or AME here in Canada.

The reason for this posting is this, the company I now work for has been contacted by the UN, or so the story on the floor goes, to bid on a contract to supply 2 Dornier 228's for Congo. We are the only company in Canada with a pair of 228's the other lone one being in Yellowknife.

Do any of you African lads have any info on this. Much appreciated

Been there done that and only a few steps away from your hangar, I could brief you over coffee.
