Any DC-4s still flying in SA

Driving round the Chapmans peak scenic drive on Tuesday morning, a large piston engined aeroplane was southbound, just offshore, I'd say around 1000' amsl.

Concentrating on staying on the road meant I couldn't see clearly what it was.

Could it have been a DC-4?

What a shame, but thank you for your reply.

Must have been a DC-3 I guess. Bit too brief a glimpse to have been certain.
