South Africa PPL Training Material
As i have said in my last post here, i am planning on going to the Algoa Flight Centre next summer to do my PPL. I want to do the exams as soon as i get there, well at least a couple of them, and i was wondering what types of manuals they use etc...
Are they the Trevor Thom manuals which we have over here or are they different.
Thanks

Hi again PWP
Trevor Thom manuals will do just fine. You can also get a book called "The Private Pilot" by an Ozmate called C.S. Hames which will give you all the detail you need regarding Southern Hemisphere operations. The whole pile of TT manuals might be a bit of overkill but it's a good start if you're doing a Commercial licence later. South African air law in a condensed version for private pilots and the Hames book mentioned are also available at most pilot shops in SA.
Good luck, mate. Drop in at Wonderboom some time and come have a couple of beers with us at Giovanni's. Best pizza on the planet........ (Burgers could do with some work though but there's always the Spur).
