UN/WFP Mi-8 Helicopter Support
Does anyone know if the UN/WFP is still making use of Mi-8 helicopters in African missions and if so who provides them? The reason for my interest relates to the cancellation of the Standard Category CofA of all the South African registered helicopters. If the Mi-8’s are still used in Africa by the UN/WFP I would have guessed that the UNHAS would have considered the reasoning behind the cancellation and applied the same standard.
