Algeria becoming a war zone?

Hi Guys

Been offered a job flying for a private company in the Algiers and operating mainly to the west of Algiers.

But I am extremely worried that now ISIS and Friends have declared war on Algeria this July!

The British Embassy are saying the usual exercise extreme caution and avoid the red areas on there map which are steadily increasing. But the EU Governments are not good at acknowledging terrorists and big business needs expats down there.

I need the job but it would be no good to my family if I am dead, maybe I am over reacting?

Anybody down there that could give the true picture.

Many Thanks

I operate in Algeria, but more central than Northern Algeria. Will you be based in Algiers, or Oran? Will you be night stopping at all?

To be honest, Algeria is a pretty safe place unless you plan on going around poking into the rural areas in the Atlas Mountains... I wouldn't go on a hiking holiday there any time soon.

A hell of a lot safer than many other countries in North Africa in my opinion.
