GA rental in Lagos, Nigeria?

Hi, Iive been offered a position with a company in Lagos (not aviation). Want to know if there are any places to rent small GA aircraft once i'm there, like Cessnas? and whether my PPL can be easily converted/used in Nigeria?

Welcome fresh fish from Taiwan! After you have been in Nigeria for a few weeks you will realise why there is no grass-roots GA in Nigeria, and why there never will be. Even commercial aviation is strangled to death by venal corrupt administrators - leisure GA has absolutely no chance to develop in Nigeria.

Well unless you consider Goodluck Johnson's ever increasing fleet of luxury jets as "leisure GA", in which case opportunities are thriving..

You could fly to Kaduna about an hour from Lagos. You could rent a C-172 for about $200 per hour with an instructor.

wow, that's too bad. I keep hearing how developed Nigeria is and the company who wants to send me there even showed me a slick video where Lagos is called the "Big Apply of Africa", comparing it to NY.
