Execujet South Africa
hi guys,
i'm leaving Europe and moving to South Africa,
currently I'm Flying for the Italian military and i'm holding a CPL with an ATR 42 TR, but would like to switch to biz jets since Airline jobs in SA are not very accessible , especially for a white expat,
SO anyone knows EXEcujet SA and their terms?
or anyone could suggest a good stable company?
Thanks a lot!

Stable, but not great pay and you will not get in there unless you have a connection. Otherwise nice company to work for with the general politics you can find in such an operation. I enjoyed freelancing for them and felt looked after. Some great guys to work with as well.
Your ATR experience could help you a lot to work initially for Solenta Aviation to get settled.

thanks a lot Springbok!
i'm a military pilot born and raised and quite proficient with big crews of 7+ppl and challenging ops with the ATR in the military, but now i really need a step forward into the civilian world and i 'm thinkin that working for middle size company would best fit my needs...
when you talk about pay not being great, for a new but quite experienced f/O, how much would you think it might be? net /gross?
do you have an idea how long it takes in general for an upgrade to Cpt?
Again thanks a lot for your time and if you have other suggestions i'll be super happy to hear them

" I'm a military pilot, born and raised....
On the playground where I spent most of my days
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool
And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys, they were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighbourhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
And said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-air"
Sorry, just thought that worked perfectly.
As I said before, good luck with your mission. Don't expect much more than 3000 USD per month starting off.

$3000 cost to company sounds about right for jet FO/ turboprop captain. From that medical aid, pension(provident fund) and income tax will be deducted. 21 days annual leave. Rosters.... Well... It is ad hoc charter flying and you will pretty much be on standby to fly and gotta stay close to home unless you have an off day or took leave. Not that busy though that duty or off days for that matter is a problem. Again, unless you have a path in there don't put your hopes and dreams on it! Seriously try Solenta Aviation with your ATR experience to break into the market.

Seriously try Solenta Aviation. They are really looking for crews for the ATR at the moment. It's a great company to work for and there aren't many gripes really.
