kenyan class 1 eye regs

Just another request from a brit wannabe. My eye prescription is very poor, with the astigmatism thrown in, about -11 for each eye. However once corrected they're fine with a vis acuity of 6/4, thats the very bottom line on the eye chart. In the EU I'm barred as the min for a JAA class 1 is -5 (-8 on renewal) uncorrected. we all know that the FAA check eyes corrected, I've spoken to the FAA and examiners here in the UK who all say that as long as you have no congenital eye disorders and it's just myopia (which it is) then the issue of a class 1, with a waiver, can be issued, hurrah! unfortunately being a UK citizen I am not entitled to residency or work (no Green Card) so my options would be limited.

So then, could I obtain a Kenyan Commercial licence by transferring an FAA licence, or if the medical regs are the same (ish) then would it be easier to just go to Kenya and train there from the start?

My long term aim is to fly bush/AG anyway, and live in east Africa, no real desire to fly airlines, so what are the chances?
