Last I was told it's locals only from now on for FO's they have a few expat First Officers but not wanting anymore expats if they can help it.
Expect to fly around overweight in an aircraft that doesn't even have a Nav DB!

Requirements to join FlyCAA......
I think I responded to this somewhere on PPrune or else it was in a PM....
1) You must pay your own type rating
2) If you want to fly the A320 you must pay 30k for 500 hours
3) If you live through that and you still want to fly for them they offer free medical and psychiatric treatment to help you change your mind
4) They have recently decided to encourage local pilots to join them and have hired a couple of them to see if they can make it
5) Are you still reading this?................

So you get to pay $30,000, plus an A320 type rating and you get to live in Kinshasa? I see nothing but upside here.
People who pay for type ratings and then pay to be a first officer are heroes and role models to everyone.
My Thpanith friend. You are lowering the bar.
One of the fondest of many fond memories from DR Congo was watching Red Turd A320s in Kisangani when the ground handlers would bring out fans to cool the brakes.
CAA are magicians too. They can suddenly teleport from being 50 miles behind you to 20 miles in front of you on approach to Kinshasa. Simply amazing trick!

Thpanith P2F pilots are THE BEST! They're so good that a certain Afrikan airline cannot even rise to their level of standards. What do 10,000 Captains know? Come to Afrika mi amigo, we need your expertise!
