Balmoral and Norseair?

Hi Guys,

Was searching on numerous threads, but couldn't really figure on the who's who in between these two companies. Balmoral Central Contracts seems to be operating with an active website, Norseair not so much...

I hear (heard) both are (were?) excellent outfits.

I'd appreciate anyone enlightening me on the situation.

Ps.: otherwise this could be the 96th occasion for a nice thread starter on the SA contract companies for the 247th time...

Hi booze,

I am not sure if this is 100% the same company but there was already a discussion about Balmoral a while ago:

Hiya,

Thanks. But the last post there was almost 3 years back. In any case they had a terrible loss last year in Kabul, when some of their crew got killed. May they rest in peace.

It would be good to know though who is still operating those ZS-reg Saab340s? Used to be Norseair i believe and as far as i know Executive Jet Management has the AMO for them. Anyone?

Cheers

Norse closed with a fairly big bang a couple of years ago. Most of the SAAB's were in pretty bad shape and won't fly again. The Bank pieced the best of the bits back together and got about 2 of the whole lot flying which are being operated pending sale.

Much unhappiness, many unpaid crditors, lots of lies and fruad. Not nice.

Hiya,

Yea. That rings a bell. When i left SA back in 2008, knew a few guys flying there on the G2 or 3 and the Metroliner. Nothing changed since, as it seems.

Appreciate the info anyways.

Cheers
