CHC back in Nigeria.
Looks like Canada Helicopter Company (CHC) is back in town and are opening shop in PHC.
Gather they are in partnership with the Lebanese owned Nigerian conglomerate Jagal and have been inquiring for Sikorsky drivers locally in the country.....

CHC used to stand for Canadian Helicopter Corporation, but now known as CHC Helicopters and was bought by US investment company First Reserve a few years back. After its disagreements with the Ibru family in its previous venture into Nigeria nearly led to the demise of Aero rotary wing, it formed a new partnership with Jagal who own Niger Dock and have a hangar on Snake Island. The oil companies don't particularly like Snake Island as it's difficult to move people to and from there. They are operating under Atlantic Aviation AOC and still looking for a base in Port Harcourt as they have no contracts with any oil major to date. They will have to tempt a lot of S76 qualified nationals to comply with Nigerian content legislation, so pay for national pilots may well rise next year as CHC will have to offer extra incentives for them to join a venture which has already failed once.

Atlantic is a company set up by Jagal/Nigerdock and in partnership with CHC is the flagship vehicle they used to get an AOC for CHC as Nigerdock can't have an AOC as a non aviation company. CHC is the company which brought Aero to its knees
