In January, the federal government jacked up fuel prices. Workers downed tools, and the masses took to the streets in protest. Stung by charges of insensitivity and a lack of purpose, the Prez and his cabinet promised to be austere in their ways, and put on a show of penance. But nine months on, has anything changed? Today, they announce the addition of two choppers to their bloated fleet. And yet, power cuts continue, the roads are still terrible and basic health care is even more expensive. It's more crap for Nigeria's suffering hordes. Bloody shame
