Anyone have any experience in flying in Africa and could point out reliable operators to apply for.

Most definitely.

I did an SA PPL last July and recently took part in a Rally in Bloemfontein. Am based in South UK and fly out of Popham now.

Highly recommend Algoa Flying Club in Port Elizabeth. Very professional, friendly and sociable. The PPL was done in 4 weeks and I've had no problem flying on it here.

Have a look at: algoafc.co.za or go through aeropages.com and look at clubs and or training orgs.

They're based at an International airport and have a well maintained fleet.

Regards

On this subject how does flying in Africa compare with UK or USA prices, wouldn't mind flying where the sun shines, trouble is I may never return.
