Exclamation Raycon Oil, Lagos, Nigeria

Dear All,

I have seen a position for Pilot/Chief Pilot at Raycon Oil, based in Lagos. Impossible to find what airplanes they are operating, no information of the flight department of that company, etc...
Any information would be highly appreciated.

Best regards

No oil companies operate their own aircraft from Lagos, as far as I know. Aero, Bristow or Pan African are the main operators.

Well, it COULD BE a hopeful thinking of getting into the game and fishing for bites, or a scam.
What is the story with the 2 ex Sonair S76's that arrived a while back? Maybe it's for them??

I know what I think it is.

That 'supposedly' legitimate Raycon website is totally unprofessional. It's quite pathetic actually.

Funny that the most comprehensive section on the website is about the scams. Reverse psychology at it's best and by the looks of it, it works on some! The lack of much information in general and what is found when googling Raycon raises alarm bells. It is so obviously a pretty well thought out scam.

Raycon.net looks more like it. I could be wrong about all this though...

Raycon scam

Also had an RW pilot job offer from Raycon. Very proffesional and authentic looking documents and employment contract.
Catch is that you have to use company below to "sign" your contract and organise your work visa for you:

AFRI TRAVELS AND TOUR
27 Rubber Plantation Road,
Warri. Delta State, Nigeria
CONTACT NAME: (Dr.) Suleman Abu
DESIGNATION: Head of Visa/Permits Operations
EMAIL: [email protected]
PHONE: +234-706-113-3296

For the contract and visa they charge US$ 375. Research on Google shows that they then require another US$ 1700 before handing over your"visa".

I called their bluff and said that I am in Nigeria and would like to sign in person. Never heard from them again.

So beware!!!
