Routing from Germany-FCBB
Hi guys,
can anybody think of an propper AVGAS routing from Germany-FCBB with a C404 that has a range of 1200nm?
Will need AVGAS en-route.
Would be great if someone knows some places along the West Coast or in Central Africa where there is AVGAS.
Thanks in advance!

That's really a question of flight plan logistics and requires detailed up to the minute information in order to ensure safety and passenger security. It's not quite in the same league as aircraft performance analysis for a specific task.
Perhaps you should really contact a professional organization rather than be requesting information from professionals who might not have access to the very latest in fuel information. As a service both to the aircraft owner and the pilot perhaps these people could help.
Welcome to Jeppesen's International Trip Planning Services
Hope that helps.

Hi Ale,
last year I did LILE (Biella-Italy) to FCPP (Pointe Noire-R.Congo) with a Seneca II.
First of all I suggest you to do this routing with at least 2 Pilots.
My routing was:
1 - Valencia - Spain
2 - Mororcco (GMMW Al Hoceima + GMAD Aghadir)
3 - Western Sahara (GMMH Dakhla)
4 - Senegal (GOOY Dakar)
5 - Mali (GABS Bamako)
6 - Burkina Faso (DFOO Bobo Dioulasso)
7 - Nigeria (DNMM Lagos)
8 - Cameroon (FKKD Douala)
9 - R. Congo (FCPP Pointe Noire)
We avoided Cote D'Ivoire due to civil war and other Coast Country due to no AVGAS. If it's possible for you avoid Nigeria (very dangerous).
It's very important for you to coordinate (I suggest to contact an International Organization - I used this one Flight Service International | Home) permit to land / overfly and take-off. They arrange for fuel + flight plane + handling + permits + hotel. You can also pay through them.
Feel free to contact me for any informations.
Happy landing.

Thanks for the feedback so far. I know the German company and I know the Jeppesen Service!
I already thought, that it would make more sense to route along the West Coast than straight through the Sahara.
Regards

From the frequent requests for information on the performance of all types of aircraft made on these pages, it seems as though a turbine has been excluded because the boss wants two aircraft and turbine costs prohibit that?
If that's the case then why not tanker up one 404 with Avgas and send it trailing down the coast of the great dark continent, behind the lead plane, as a tanker.
That should ensure minimum flight plan company cost exposure and expense and any surplus fuel in tanks on arrival could be sold to the local John Deere tractor representative. You might want to have the loaded fuel inspected by the US State Department pre flight in order to do that but at least you might be able to turn your residue into revenue.

East Africa seems to be cheapest and longest, Central Africa the shortest but most complicated and West Africa a mixture of the previous two, from what I have heard so far and according to the latest prices...

Anyway pls take the safest route into consideration. In case of ... you know - nobody cares about AvGas availability, costs and time .Your Titan might get slaughtered and used for spare parts for a local warlord's tank and Crew /Pax might end up as hostages.
Central Africa and Congo jungle not below FL 350 !
