Could anyone tell me if SA Express are on the lookout for Q400 type rated Captains? What are they like to work for? Thanks

In my opinion, SAX will not take DEC's on any fleet, unless there are extraordinary circumstances.. There are too many people waiting for upgrades at the moment and not enough movement in the market to allow that and I would trust that SAXPA would also not allow that to happen. If they did, then they would have a revolt on their hands from the f/o's who have been waiting 4-5 years for upgrades...

Thanks for the info gents. What is the general state of the industry in SA at the moment? I'm looking to return after 6 years away. Are there jobs there for peeps with around 3500 TP experience? 1500 hours of Q400 included. Are the experienced among you looking to go to the sandpit or far east?
Are the low cost carriers employing at the moment?

Theres virtually no movement in SA at the moment. No body is hiring. Its pretty dire
