Well done Kenya!

Is there another way to deal with an Islamic militant group? This is great news!

Shouldn't we try sending missionaries to convert them first? And counselling. They should be given a fair chance.

Maybe we should also bring them a nice cup of hot chocolate at the same time?

Great piece of news. Lets hope that reaction from the Kenyan government is infectious.

There appears to be some similarities then with their mates in Afghanistan who seem to have found a way for Allah to approve opium for recreation and business. Maybe they will also follow the lead shown by some in the Taliban in using females for reproduction and boys for fun (a well documented fact and cause for burden of disease in Afghan)?

There is an acceptance here that the Kenyan Air Force is actually capable of identifying a target and then hitting it. Accurately and hard. "in a town"!
Is this likely? Just hitting a town doesn't square with what I've heard of their "capabilities", let alone surgical strikes within one.

Or perhaps these were just 60 random people unlucky enough to be in Garbaharey chewing Qat that afternoon.

Or (quite likely) the Kenyan media blowing the propaganda trumpet and reporting an unsuccessful recce flight.

Well, it wouldn't have had the same PR punch if the press release said "And today, whilst lost over some or other town, an inadvertently armed 500 pounder came off the rail of a KAF student's aircraft by mistake. The approximately 60 victims on the ground were declared to be Al-Kebab, so it's all win-win." Actually, come to think of it, that would be kind of refreshing....
