Bellview,sorry,FirstNation takes off

After more than a year of gruelling effort, FirstNation Nigeria, successor to the defunct Bellview, received its AOC a week ago. Today, one of its three 5N- registered A320-200s was in action in Lagos, though I cant say if it was a revenue flight. CEO/founder of the two companies remains Kayode Odukoya

It's Bellview reloaded

Kayode Odukoya is said to have sold a hefty stake of his exclusively held Bellview Airlines to a Nigerian ex-state governor, some say for as much as 30 million US dollars, sought a smart new template, and come back as Fisrtnation.
Around the christmas peak period, two of their three 5N- registered A320s were flying passenger services, reportedly on the Lagos- Port Harcourt and -Abuja routes. Fares were competitive and the service was better than the standard fare. At least the staff seemed to try to make the effort.
Whilst Nigerians despair that an ex governor could cough up 30 mil dollars, some point out that he could have saved it in Swiss accounts and fed Europeans with it, but chose to invest it in the local economy. Either way, he keeps the loot-and a swish new airline as well
