forget air mauritius

Anyone even thinking of joing air mauritius, or should I say air bannana must be mad. Let me explain. In the last 4 months air mauritius have contacted me for a340 , LOST MY DETAILS, interviewd in me in mauritius, sent me for sim ride, gave letter of employment, said they needed immediately.......then.......nothing ...not answereing any e-mails, not responded to phone calls, then e-mailed me saying lost deatails AGAIN, now no response. During that time heard they found other pilots type rated so no letter explaining just ignore you, 3 other guys joined in sept all ready been axed before sim training even completed. 1 guy told joining A340 a day before sim check ride told, dont need you on 340 but ATR take or leave.
Another guy gets to mauritius said getting sent for 3 sim sessions and will then be put on line, he told them he was not type rated, oh then come back in Dec !!!!! Another guy moved his whole house over, was axed in training asked to leave island ASAP, double furniture move R80 000...with wife and kids, whoever you are sorry mate i feel for you.
I normally treat all p.pruners with a truck load of salt, but in this case all the threads i have read bashing them ,(and I ignored them at my own peril, and paid the price) you are all spot on.....KEEP AWAY FROM THEM !!!!!!!

We have been warning you all against Air Mauritius......They are abusing and mistreating people. They think they are running a golden airline when in fact they are barely keeping aircrafts flying. They are mismanaging everything....Don't get suck in by whatever they tell you, they are lying to you!!!
Yes, there is a lot of unnecessary bashing on PPRuNe but some truth as well and in this case most of what have been written about this little crappy airline in on the ball!!!!

Pilot recruitment is a comedy show with Bugs Banny and the wailers, the Mafia team. They are currently under investigation by the Independent Commission Against Corruption on pilot recruitment.
Will see what comes out.For all these shows going on, is someone having some vested interest in this recruitment show?????

Try this article and check out the comments. A lot of comments coming from pilots from within and from outside MK. You might wanna try the search tool on Air Mauritius buddy, there's loads to read up on about MK most of which has been posted by expats. And don't worry if you find posts dating back to 2005 and all.. they are still very true today. Infact situation might be worse as MK are so under-crewed at the moment that there is tremendous pressure on flight crew.
Let me tell you tho.. you have already got the best advice possible in this thread!

A certain R.B tried getting two of his nephews in.. Thought two would look too obvious so he'd try one at a time. Got caught by the tech quiz bull****.
The tech quiz was added to the selection process without candidates even knowing that they were going to have to go through it. Candidates were never briefed on what the selection process comprised of. MK just called candidates for Psycho/personality tests, interview and then threw this tech quiz **** in that doesn't prove anything.
R.B's nephew got tipped.. and now hell's loose on them. Guessing investigators must be looking into correspondence between candidates and MK with regards to this tech quiz to find out who actually knew about it and who didn't!
Besides pilots waking up in Mauritius.. They just won't put up with this Mauritianising **** taking forever anymore!
A stand they should have taken a long time ago.. but now with numbers on their side.. it's easier I guess!

Bugs Banny Show comes again and again.Now, we a have rabbit that have been caught. Was he or they trying or trafficking influence to get his close dudes into the pilot recruitment so that the new ones joining MK can also enjoy the cool roster and favoritism.
