Any info on flying in Somalia/South Sudan

Dear fellow Ppruners,

If anyone has any info on current contract operations running in South Sudan or Somalia would be highly appreciated. Looking at Blue Bird, Flymex, Planes For Africa, etc.

Especially some info on daily allowances/salaries, etc. would be great. Either being based in these countries or running the Ops from Kenya. Would like to know due to the reason if time comes, i'll need some grounds/facts to start bargaining in case i have to go there.

Somalia? You must really hate life. Sudan is good flying and some companies there pay well. good luck

Ah thanks @darkroom. It's my birthday in two days...are you going to use some of that $45,000 you stole or some of your church money to buy me a present? Or were you saving it to buy a house on Lake Oswego

You need to retract that right away. It is libel.
Since something posted on the internet by some juvenile such as above will remain on the internet indefinitely, let me make sure it is clear that I have never been involved in any fraudulent matters, never stolen money, never been in a position of responsibility for church money.

When someone makes an accusation as above, and is unwilling to retract said statement when prompted, that person should be considered an entirely unreliable source, and possibly considered to have unsound judgement and therefore should never be placed in a position of responsibility within any organization.

Rather don't.
Africa has allot of other safer and far more sane places to fly from.

I'm not troll! I just created this new username due to the reason i don't want my current employer to recognize me if they should wander on his site. I'm sure that i'm not the first one on the forum doing this...

Anyways. Thanks for the reply. But i'm still interested on the subject of per diems in the mentioned countries. I really need some info guys, so i can start negotiating with the other employer. I need to know if the crews are getting a sort of "danger pay" or something like that over there. All info will be appreciated.

I can only promise, if this should happen i'll be more than happy to share everything through PM's if anyone interested.

Cheers

Wiki says that, "Somalia has been characterized as a failed state and is one of the poorest and most violent states in the world."

It doesn't seem to be the sort of country that the average intelligent human being would venture into voluntarily?

...and certainly not on your Pat Malone...

I think he meant contract work into somalia / sudan ... Lots of us do this kind of job . What's wrong about asking the t&C's ? I'm afraid per diems are one of the biggest variable around (varies with countries / companies / contract ...) . When it comes to Bluebird , there's two of them (one in Sudan , one in NBO) so be careful what your answers are .
Good luck with your negos anyway .
