Question on ultralights
Hi there,
Does anybody know the NCAA regulations governing the use of recreational aircraft like paramotors, powered parachutes and hangglider trikes etc in Nigeria? I know a full blown PPL is required for planes and helicopters, but are microlight licenses e.g the American Sport Pilot license or Microlight Pilot license from South Africa acceptable?
Doing the PPL seems an overkill, if one is going to merely fly an ultralight (one or two seater) just for fun.
Thanks for your advice.

deregulated
Rules may follow what happens ini the UK. The UK does not regulate free flight aircraft such as paragliders, paramotors and hang gliders. Licensing is left to the sport regulating bodies such as the BHPA, although you are not legally required to have a BHPA license to fly. in essence providing the aircraft falls within the deregulated category, it is indeed that. Deregulated.
