If Bob and Grace fly on it it's safe, unless it's sabotaged - an awful lot of people would want to get rid of the son of a itch and hus murderous wife.

Zim is probably safer than most other African countries but I would have serious concerns, which must be evaluated against the alternative of road transport. Air would almost certainly be safer.

What's your concern about?

You need to specify what your concerns about, bearing in mind that this is a public forum!
PM me for more specific concern.
I flew a air ambulance there for 2 years without any security issues, but" I kept my nose clean!"

I'm asking for a friend who is thinking of flying Harare - Vic Falls with family - concern is re maintenance and mechanical rather than political climate

Solenta offer the service on a C208B. I can tell you that Solenta's maintenance and training of crew is top class. The aircraft are ZS registered and meticulously maintained. Safe option. Solenta Zimbabwe

I have been hearing from white faces down in that part of the world, for 30 years, the promises of taking Uncle Bob and boys right out. Off the seen, permanently. Why hasn't it been down? No balls?

Bob has not been taken out because he is so well protected by those who would be in deep **** if he went.

We can only hope that current events in North Africa will serve as a warning to him and that he will step down without bloodshed, or that nature will take its course and that he will die a painful death. By the way the real evil behind him is his wife.

Radio comms are often crap & unreadable. I recently had a near miss in zim airspace, air force aircraft couldn't be bothered to make any radio calls. Missed by 200m same level!

Tell me about the crap comms. I always struggle for ATC contact when I'm overflying Zim, especially on the Western side of the country.

Try speaking to Bulawayo on the western side, they will relay to Harare for you happily, and are always very pleasent to speak too.

Uncle Bob could be taken out any number of times. That's not the issue. It is more about who is going to step up to replace him. The devil you know, or the devil you don't know?
