This is what you say your situation is at moment, 3-5 years for upgrade captain? This is the question you ask? Stay and log SIC or move on?
But how can you log SIC when you fly as First Officer in two crew operation? That won't cut ice. Or do you mean that you fly as F/O in a two crew operation but that youoffered a job in Africa flying a PC12 at $100k per annum at the same time as you offered job in the USA flying a Beech 350 also at $100k a year. But then are you flying a jet for regional carrier or are you flying something like C185 on floats? Have no idea what CASS means but benefits often paid to the elderly so is that a pension scheme? Housing and per diem paid for in Africa. Is that living in barbed or razor wire surrounded compound? Is the benefit there a medical one? Might need to be. Are you US citizen? Then what earn overseas won't be tax free to you so $75k flight debt is still most slow to redeem. Slow afternoon here. Sorry, won't disclose where. Your situation must be very hurried, rushed even. If knew little more of facts then could produce the best result. So he say now this: 75 on 45 off. Okay, US tax residence remains. 75 x 3 = 225 = probably tax residence anywhere in Africa, esp RSA. Therefore dual tax treaty so accountants so costs. Watchee clever fellah tie tax accounts in knots. Who pays repatriation air fares three times a year? Yellow fever shots, and malaria pills are expensive. Depends where in Africa, big place Africa, bigger even maybe than USA. Dark there too. Can't advise on medicals with only present information. You going to be paid in local or which bank where? Nigeria has some there. That's all gift free help aid can provide on your information rush job. Sorry not to be more fulsome. Used to be morse code operator in Shanghai in days of Black Russians/Sobranie (before get called racist). Good luck. Sound like you one very lucky fella in big hurry. Sometimes slow and careful is often better approach. Africa very dangerous place, full of rejects but you get quality reputation you work here.

Dont Do It!

My advice is to stay in the USA- African jobs are rarely what they seem, and there is always a tradeoff somewhere down the line. I am will ing to bet that after three months in Africa you will ask yourself why the hell you thought this was a good idea.
Bite the bullet and work your way up in your airline, even with the low pay and unplanned furloughs.......

Hey, this is very much a personal choice and such choice will be driven by different impacting/mitigating factors in each person's mind. It's attractive from a pay perspective but not so from a longer term career perspective - in my opinion. I had Pilots working for me that would have given their right in order to have what you currently have! They were flying King Airs and PC12's etc. Each to their own as the saying goes. You are still young but do be careful of the pitfalls. Suggestion: Draw up a list of 10 points for and 10 points against, the list that grows quicker than the other long before you get to 10 will provide you with your answer. Good luck!

Are you now with the Big Badger? Do you pole around the estimable CRJ?
Or has some deep misfortune assailed you that the circular problem comes once more time this lunar year to cause so sad discomfort.
That is it not is the question of the day?

Both positions are with a us company who flies government contract flying they are a worldwide operation and a multi million
dollar operation. The pc12 is in Africa the kingair is stateside. They will type me and put me in the left seat of the 350. They pay for my commute. This is not a bush type job. The pay 100k plus. I can fly both aircraft pc12 75 days in Africa and the BE350 45 days stateside. 100k plus a year.

Shift in the wind and it's blowing off the gasworks now is it, Mr Cheetah?

Truly inspired drivel. Are you channeling Sir Spike by any chance....?
