Info for pilots looking for work in Namibia
Hi all those looking for work in Nam-
just got another query from a pilot looking for work in Nam - and although I don't mind answering privately it's easier to answer on the forum.
If you are looking for work in Nam - as a low timer, here's my personal advice:
Cessna 210 rating or time is most essential, and the more time the better.
Below 300 hours an instrument rating is a must, all else is not really that important, although for an employer, anything that adds to your usability later eg: a multi rating, an instructor rating a caravan rating, the ability to do other things (eg manage/fill operational posts - write manuals, speak German..other languages etc) is obviously a bonus. Type of license etc is not a big thing.
Well that's IMHO anyway.
