Could it be that the rumour was to rid themselves of the chief pilot and some other unwanted luggage?
those 732's are not in the best condition, and the poor dispatch rate shows, worse than the F 28's
The do however have a shiny "new" F70 being punted fiercely, now that is a plane you can do something with RR Tay fans, economical and reliable, the jurassic jets are busy consuming their operators......

Could well be, but then he scored a free rating on the F70/100. PB and sidekick were seen at flightsafety Paris not so long ago doing ground school and sim.............

The B737-200 is a great Airplane. But in the end you get what you paid for. If you do the maintenance on time and as per Boeing you never go wrong.
The operating cost of a late model B737-200 and an early model B737-300 are about the same.
